Creating a coupon

On this page you will find:

Coupon codes are a great way to promote events with discount codes by reducing the amount charged to attendees for one-time payments. They are generated by organizers and can be applied to specific events during the checkout process.

Currently, when a coupon code is used, it applies to an entire order even if it is designed to be used only once. This means that if an attendee purchases two tickets in a single order with a coupon code meant to only be used once, the code will still apply to both tickets.

Only Group Organizers have the ability to manage and create coupons for all events within groups they are part of. Only Event Organizers have the ability to manage and create coupons for events they have been given access to.

Creating a coupon

  1. Navigate to the Manage Event page of the specific event that needs a discount code added

  2. On the left-hand side navigation, in the Event Manager section, select Coupons

  3. To create a discount code, select + Create New

  4. Complete Create a coupon fields: Name, Coupon ID, Type, Percentage Off

Optional settings: Redemption Limits (Limit the date range when customers can redeem this coupon or Limit the total number of times this coupon can be redeemed)

Warning: Once a redemption limit for a coupon has been met, the status will be Invalid — any promo codes associated with the coupon, even if the redemption limits for the promo code have not been met, will not be redeemable by attendees.

  5. After fields have been completed, select Create
