Overview of roles & permissions

Role definition

Root Administrators may create and delete groups, default custom lists, default registration questions, event templates, manage featured tags, and activate user accounts. Root Administrators also receive platform payout details for all groups across the platform via email receipts.

Group Administrators can manage all aspects of their respective groups. They may edit group details, add and remove members, and assign roles to group members. Only current group administrators can assign another user administrator or organizer roles for groups they are a part of. Groups must contain at least one administrator. Group Administrators also receive group payout details for their respective group events via email receipts.

Group Organizers can manage all events for their respective groups. They may create, edit, and delete events.

Group Staff can check-in tickets for all events for their respective group.

Event Administrators can manage events they have been given access to. They can add and remove users, and assign roles to event members. Only current event administrators can assign another user administrator or organizer roles for events they are a part of. Event Administrators can setup event payout methods and receive event payout details for their respective events via email receipts.
